The second Harrah’s casino North Carolina, Harrah’s Valley River Casino is expected to attract more than one million visitors annually. Owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and operated by Caesars Entertainment, the resort features 50,000 square feet of gaming space with more than 1,000 slot machines and 70 table games, plus a food court and a 300-room hotel.īuilding the casino created more than 500 temporary construction jobs, and now about 900 permanent jobs are being filled.

Following two years of construction, the new 0 million Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel opened September 28 in Murphy, North Carolina.
